Hi All,
After a little less than a week and a half (only 6 business days) to prepare for my big move from Newfoundland to Nunavut, I am fully prepared (or as prepared as I can be) to go. In fact, I left St. John's this morning at 7:10am, and am now in Winnipeg for training on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, I depart for Rankin Inlet aboard Calm Air. I have a plane change in Churchill, MB (the polar bear capital of the world) and a brief stop in Arviat, NU. I'll keep you all posted on how things are going - but feel free to let me know if there is anything that I should check out in Winnipeg while I'm here.
Cheers,
Miranda

Moving to Nunavut
Hi All,
I have just accepted the position of Hotel Manager for the Turaarvick Inns North at Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. I'm leaving Newfoundland on September 9th to fly to Winnipeg, and then I am on to Rankin Inlet on Wednesday, September 12th. Having never been to the Arctic, I am really excited about seeing and experiencing all that it has to offer.
I have started this blog, so that you - my family and friends back home can follow me and share in the experience of my arctic adventures!
Cheers,
Miranda
P.S. Does anyone know where I can get a pair of pink long johns????
